Box camera from Bosch that can run either analog or IP.

The camera performs well in low light and can be used as either an analog camera or an IP camera.

Advanced person and vehicle detection.

The camera uses the smart 'IVA Pro' technology, which makes it possible to detect and track people and vehicles using AI.

  • Accurate detection: The camera can recognize and track both people and vehicles. That means it can identify when someone enters an area, or if a car drives by.
  • Fewer false alarms: Using AI, the camera can recognize patterns and avoid false alarms caused by things like rain, snow, moving trees and bushes, or shadows. AI analysis helps reduce the number of false alerts.
  • Efficient monitoring: The camera can detect motion and automatically distinguish between different objects. This means it can keep track of where people and cars are moving and notify you.
  • Smart alarm system: The camera can be programmed to trigger alarms based on specific rules. For example, it can send an alert if a person enters a restricted area, or if a car parks somewhere it’s not allowed. This makes it easier to keep an eye on important areas without constantly watching the screen.

Night vision with Starlight X technology.

The camera uses Starlight X technology to capture clear and detailed images, even when there is almost no light. Instead of traditional infrared (IR) night vision, which typically produces black-and-white images in the dark, Starlight X technology makes it possible to get color images even in very low light. That means that even in near-total darkness, the camera can still see and record what’s happening with great detail.

Benefits of Starlight X technology in the dark:

  • Color images in low light: Unlike traditional IR night vision, which only provides black-and-white images, Starlight X technology can deliver color images, making it easier to recognize details and objects.
  • High sensitivity: The technology is highly light-sensitive, making it possible to see details that other cameras would miss in the dark.
  • Clear images without glare: Even in challenging lighting conditions, such as strong light and deep shadows in the same scene, Starlight X technology ensures clear images without glare or distortion.

The difference between Starlight and Starlight X is light sensitivity. Starlight technology can work in low light down to 0.0008 lux, while Starlight X can go all the way down to 0.0003 lux. That means that even when it’s almost completely dark, it can still deliver a really good image.

Data protection and security.

  • Multiple layers of security: The camera has several protection levels working together to ensure that both data and the camera itself are protected against attacks and unauthorized access.
  • Access protection: There are three levels of access protection, ensuring that only authorized people can change settings or view recordings. It’s like having several locks on a door - only the right keys can open them.
  • Encrypted data transmission: When data is sent from the camera to a computer or server, it is encrypted. That means the information is turned into a secret code that can only be read by those with the correct encryption key. This protects the data from being intercepted by hackers.
  • Advanced certificate management: The camera uses digital certificates to verify that it is safe to communicate with other devices. Certificates work like digital ID cards, ensuring that the camera only interacts with trusted devices and servers.
  • Protection against attacks: The camera is equipped with built-in security measures that protect it from malicious attacks. This prevents hackers from taking control of the camera or stealing data.

Local storage.

The camera supports one micro SD card for local storage.

  • Micro SDHC card: Supports up to 32 GB.
  • Micro SDXC card: Supports up to 2 TB.

Motorized focus for setup.

The camera has motorized focus, making it easy to adjust sharpness during installation.

  • Remote adjustment: When the camera is installed for the first time, you can adjust the focus from a computer.
  • Precise adjustment: You can fine-tune the image to make sure it is sharp and covers the desired area.
  • One-time adjustment: Once setup is complete, there is no need to adjust the focus regularly. The camera stays in the set position and normally requires no further adjustment unless the surveillance needs change.

The camera can capture sharp images of fast-moving objects.

Because the camera can capture 60 frames per second, it’s possible to get really sharp images of things moving quickly, such as cars or bicycles in motion.

Hybrid function (IP and analog).

The camera supports both IP and analog video output. That means it can be used in existing analog systems, which can later be upgraded to IP technology without needing to replace the cameras.

Supported special licenses that can be activated.

The following license can be added to the camera:

  • Camera trainer license: This feature allows the camera to learn to recognize specific objects or things you choose. That can be anything from cars and people to specific items. Once activated, the camera can detect these objects both when they are moving and when they are stationary. With Camera Trainer, the camera becomes more flexible and effective because it can focus on the objects that matter most to you.

A Bosch surveillance camera packed with intelligent analytics.

The camera is equipped with a total of 16 different types of VCA (Video Content Analysis).

  1. Object in field (object appears in an area).
  2. Crossing line (an object crosses a line).
  3. Loitering (staying in an area).
  4. Condition change (change in conditions).
  5. Following router (object moves outside the specified route).
  6. Tampering (attempted tampering).
  7. Removed object (object removed from a specified position).
  8. Idle object (an object is left behind).
  9. Entering field (object moves into an area).
  10. Leaving field (object leaves an area).
  11. Similarity search (objects appear similar).
  12. Crowd detection (objects gather in groups).
  13. Counter (counts how many objects cross a line).
  14. Occupancy (queue counter).
  15. Traffic incidents (traffic incidents).
  16. Traffic wrong way (wrong-way traffic).

All of these analytics are available in all Bosch surveillance cameras and help make Bosch one of the best and most widely used European surveillance camera brands. You can read more about the possibilities with "Forensic Search" here:

Stand-alone, closed Bosch system or part of third-party systems - this camera can do it all.

Standalone unit with SD card: With an SD card installed, you can view all your recordings directly in the Bosch Security App - completely free and without removing the card from the camera. The camera also monitors the condition of the card and warns you if it starts to wear out or becomes damaged. This solution is just as user-friendly as a traditional hard drive recorder.

Bosch NVR: If you need a larger overall solution, the camera can be connected either to a DIVAR hard drive recorder from Bosch or via ONVIF to equipment from a third-party manufacturer.

VMS platform: The camera can be integrated with VMS platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, or other systems via either Private protocol or ONVIF. To get full access to the camera’s metadata, check the compatibility list on your chosen VMS platform.

Power over Ethernet

Do as the professionals do. PoE means that only one cable needs to be run to the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a PoE switch.
