PTZ camera with 25x optical zoom

DS-2DF5225X-AE3(T5) is made for areas where you need more than a standard camera with a fixed viewing angle. The camera can pan, tilt, and zoom, so you can both get an overview and take a closer look at specific areas.

Delivered for ceiling installation

The camera comes with a bracket for ceiling installation. With this mounting, a large part of the camera housing is hidden above the ceiling, while the dome section with the camera is visible underneath.

This gives you a neat and discreet installation and is especially suitable where you have a suspended ceiling or otherwise have space for the camera housing above the ceiling.

Can also be mounted under the ceiling

If you do not want to build the camera in, it can also be mounted hanging under the ceiling with a suitable bracket. This can be an advantage in places where there is no space above the ceiling, or where the ceiling structure is not suitable for built-in installation.

25x optical zoom

With 25x optical zoom, the camera can go from a wide overview to a closer image of people, vehicles, or other details farther away.

Because this is optical zoom, it is the lens itself that zooms. That gives you a much better chance of seeing details at a distance than with ordinary digital enlargement of the image.

Can rotate all the way around

The camera can rotate 360° and tilt up and down. That means you are not limited to one fixed camera angle, but can move the camera’s field of view as needed.

You can save up to 300 preset positions and set the camera to patrol between different areas.

Automatic tracking

The camera supports automatic tracking and can follow a relevant event as it moves through the area. The camera turns and adjusts its position so the event can stay in the frame.

This is especially useful in larger areas, where people or vehicles can quickly move out of view on a standard fixed camera.

Good image in low light

DarkFighter helps the camera deliver usable images even when there is very little light. That makes it well suited for areas where lighting conditions change a lot throughout the day.

No built-in IR illumination is specified for this model, so the camera depends on existing light when the area becomes very dark.

Face Capture

The camera can detect faces in the image and select good images of them. It can handle up to 30 faces at the same time and send the selected images on to the surveillance system.

Face Capture is not the same as facial recognition. The function detects and captures images of faces, but does not itself identify who the person is.

Vehicle detection

The camera supports vehicle detection for traffic monitoring. This makes the model relevant in areas where both general surveillance and activity around vehicles need to be monitored.

Event detection

The camera can, among other things, react when someone crosses a specific line, moves into or out of a selected area, or stays in an area you want to monitor.

It can also detect abandoned or removed objects as well as abnormal audio events.

Supports SD card

The camera supports SD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. It also supports storage via NAS.

Option for external audio equipment

The camera has audio input and audio output for connecting external audio equipment. No built-in microphone or speaker is specified on this model.

Connection to alarm equipment

With 7 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs, the camera can be connected to other equipment in the installation. This makes it possible for external events to trigger the camera or for the camera to trigger other functions.

IP66 and IK10

The camera is rated IP66 for protection against water and dust, as well as IK10 for protection against mechanical impact.

The model does not have any special corrosion protection and is therefore not intended for environments with specific requirements for corrosion resistance.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

Audio Trigger

Univiews cameras with microphone can also respond to what they don't see. For example, it can be cries or screaming on a women's toilet if you place the camera outside the door.

PTZ

Stands for Pan, Tilt and Zoom and means the camera can turn right and left, up and down and zoom in to get the best pictures.
You can control it from your mobile, computer or even a joystick. The camera can also be set to constantly patrol between fixed points.

Autotracking

PTZ cameras may have built-in intelligence and keep an eye for you. If something happens that the camera assesses is interesting, it will immediately zoom in and follow the object.
