Ajax KeyPad
The Ajax KeyPad serves as the main control panel for your alarm system. The user enters a code on the keypad to change the alarm state or control specific areas of the building. The keypad is commonly used in homes, offices, shops and businesses where multiple people need access to the alarm system.
Control with passcode
You control the alarm by entering a code on the keypad. The system supports both a shared code and individual passcodes for different users. That makes it easy to manage who has access to the system.
Personal codes and guest access
You can create individual passcodes for employees, family members or other users directly in the Ajax app. The system also supports codes for people without their own user profile, which is handy for cleaners or temporary access.
.
Duress code
If a user is forced to disarm the alarm, a special duress code can be entered. The system will appear to disarm normally, while simultaneously sending a silent alarm to the monitoring center and other users.
Touch-sensitive keypad
The keypad has touch-sensitive keys with backlighting, making it easy to use day or night. The indicators on the keypad also show the system status and any faults or issues.
Protection against code guessing
The system can automatically block the keypad if incorrect codes are entered repeatedly. This helps protect against attempts to guess passcodes.
Stable wireless communication
The KeyPad communicates wirelessly with the Ajax hub and is constantly monitored by the alarm system. If the connection is interrupted or tampered with, the system detects it immediately.
Tamper protection
The unit has a built-in tamper switch that detects if someone tries to remove the keypad from the wall or open the case. If that happens, the system sends an alert right away.
Long-life battery operation
The KeyPad runs on batteries and is designed for long operation. Batteries typically last up to 2 years with normal use. The system continuously monitors battery level and notifies you in the app when batteries need replacing.
Accessories
The Ajax KeyPad comes with the SmartBracket mounting bracket and installation materials for wall mounting. The keypad is installed wirelessly and configured via the Ajax app.
