5 MP Ajax turret camera with motorized zoom and Hybrid Light

The camera combines an adjustable 2.8-12 mm lens with IR up to 60 meters and white light up to 40 meters. This makes it possible to adapt both the viewing angle and the lighting to the area you want to monitor.

Motorized zoom from 2.8 to 12 mm

The motorized lens can be adjusted from 2.8 mm to 12 mm directly in the Ajax app. Autofocus ensures the image stays sharp after the focal length is changed, and manual focus control is also available.

At 2.8 mm, you get the widest viewing angle, which is ideal for example courtyards, entrances, and larger areas. When you zoom in to 12 mm, the viewing angle becomes narrower, so the camera can instead focus on an area further away.

The horizontal viewing angle can be adjusted from 111° to 31°.

IR up to 60 meters and white light up to 40 meters

The camera has both IR and white LED lighting. IR provides surveillance in the dark with a range of up to 60 meters, while the white light can illuminate the area at a distance of up to 40 meters.

The camera automatically adjusts the strength of both the IR and the white light according to the distance to the objects. This helps avoid overexposing people or other objects close to the camera.

AI detection of people, vehicles and pets

The camera’s AI analysis can distinguish between people, vehicles and pets. This makes it easier to focus on relevant events instead of reacting to every movement in the image.

The camera also supports line crossing, so an event can be triggered when a relevant object crosses a defined line in the image.

120 dB True WDR

True WDR at 120 dB helps preserve details in areas with large differences between light and dark. This can be useful, for example, at gates, entrances, or in areas with strong sunlight and deep shadows in the same image.

Built-in microphone

The camera has a built-in microphone, so audio can be recorded together with video when the function is enabled.

In addition, there is support for an external active microphone with built-in preamplifier as well as an external speaker with at least 3 W and 4 Ω or higher.

Alarm input and alarm output

The camera has connections for external alarm equipment. The alarm input supports both NO and NC, while the alarm output can handle up to 24 V DC and 300 mA.

This makes it possible to combine the camera with compatible external equipment and configure the functions through Ajax apps.

Supports SD card

The camera supports microSD cards up to 256 GB, so video can be recorded directly on the camera. Ajax recommends a card with speed class V30 or faster. Memory card is not included.

Can be used together with Ajax NVR

In addition to local recording on a microSD card, the camera can be used together with an Ajax NVR. This makes it possible to collect and manage recordings from several cameras in the same video surveillance system.

Video together with the Ajax alarm system

The camera can be included in scenarios together with the Ajax alarm system. For example, you can configure the system so selected cameras start recording when an Ajax detector triggers an alarm.

The recorded event can then be sent to the Ajax mobile app or Ajax PRO Desktop, so you can quickly check what triggered the alarm.

Access from mobile and computer

Through Ajax apps, you can view the camera and manage relevant settings. The owner can control access rights, deciding which users, installers, or control rooms are allowed to view video, events, and camera settings.

PoE makes installation easier

The camera supports PoE according to IEEE 802.3af/at, so power and network can be carried through the same network cable. Alternatively, the camera can be powered with 12 V DC.

Protected against sabotage

A built-in accelerometer can detect attempts to move or remove the camera. The camera also includes Secure Boot, encrypted communication, and signature verification for automatic firmware updates, among other features.

For indoor and outdoor use

The camera is IP67 rated against dust and water and IK10 rated against mechanical impact. It can operate at temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C and is therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.
