The camera combines high image quality, color footage in low light, and human and vehicle analytics. Its compact bullet housing makes it a great fit for facades, driveways, courtyards, and other areas where the camera’s direction needs to be clear.

4 MP delivers clear images

The camera records at up to 2688 × 1520 pixels with up to 25 frames per second at 50 Hz. That gives you clear footage where people, vehicles, and events are easier to see.

The higher resolution also makes it easier to zoom in on parts of the image during later review.

Color images in very low light

ColorVu technology helps the camera keep colors even when there is very little light in the area. Color can make it easier to tell the difference between, for example, clothing, vehicles, and other details.

When there isn’t enough regular light, the camera can use its built-in white light to continue delivering color footage.

IR and white light up to 40 meters

The camera has both infrared light and white light with a range of up to 40 meters.

IR provides discreet black-and-white night footage, while the white light can be used for color recordings. You can choose the lighting that best suits the area and the type of surveillance you want.

Three lighting modes

The camera supports several ways of using IR and white light. It can, among other things, record with IR, use white light, or switch between the light types depending on the selected setup.

That gives you discreet surveillance for everyday use and color recordings when you need more detail.

Human and vehicle detection

The camera can distinguish between people and vehicles. This reduces the number of unnecessary alarms caused by, for example, animals, rain, leaves, and other movement in the image.

That gives you a more manageable alarm history with greater focus on relevant events.

Line crossing and area detection

The camera supports line crossing, intrusion detection, and movement into or out of defined areas.

For example, you can receive an alarm if a person or vehicle crosses a specific boundary or moves into an area that should be monitored.

Built-in dual microphone

The DS-2CD2047G3-LI2UY version has two built-in microphones that can record sound together with the video.

Audio can provide extra information about an incident and make it easier to understand what happened on site.

Noise filtering

The camera can filter out some of the constant background noise from the audio recording. This can provide more usable sound in areas with, for example, ventilation, traffic, or other ongoing sounds.

Lens for a wide or more focused view

The camera is available with a fixed 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens. The 2.8 mm version gives the widest viewing angle and is a great fit for areas close to the camera.

The 4 mm version gives a narrower image and shows the subject a little larger at longer distances.

Clear images in backlight

The camera can preserve more detail when there are both very bright and dark areas in the same image.

This is especially useful at entrances, gates, and facades, where sunlight, windows, or lamps can otherwise make people and vehicles hard to see.

Electronic image stabilization

Electronic image stabilization can reduce the effect of minor vibrations in the camera mount.

That can give you a steadier image, for example in windy conditions or when exposed to vibrations from traffic and machinery.

Three video streams

The camera supports up to three video streams under the relevant settings. The streams can be used with different resolutions and qualities.

The main stream can, for example, be used for high-quality recording, while a smaller stream is used for remote viewing.

Efficient video compression

H.265+ reduces storage and network bandwidth needs compared with older video formats.

The camera also supports H.265, H.264+, and H.264, so it can be used with many different recorders and platforms.

Local storage on microSD card

The camera supports microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards of up to 512 GB.

That means you can save recordings directly in the camera, either as primary storage in a smaller installation or as backup in case of a network outage.

ANR in case of network outage

With ANR, the camera can store recordings locally if the connection to a compatible recorder is temporarily interrupted.

Once the connection is restored, the missing recordings can be transferred to the recorder.

NAS support

The camera can save recordings to compatible network storage via NFS or SMB/CIFS.

This gives you the option to combine memory cards, network recorders, and NAS to suit the needs of the installation.

PoE or 12 V power supply

The camera can be powered via PoE or 12 V DC. With PoE, both power and network run through the same cable.

That makes installation simpler, since you don’t necessarily need to run a separate power supply to the camera.

Protected against rain and dust

The IP67 rating means the camera is protected against rain and dust and can be used outdoors.

The camera can operate at temperatures from minus 30 °C to 60 °C.

Extra corrosion protection

The NEMA 4X protection gives the camera better resistance to corrosion than standard models.

That’s an advantage in humid environments, coastal areas, and other installations where the camera is exposed to tougher conditions.

Metal housing

The camera’s front, housing, and bracket are made of metal.

That gives you a solid construction for both indoor and outdoor mounting.

Typical applications

This is a small bullet camera that is primarily suited for private homes. However, we always recommend a turret for outdoor use, as it is very robust.
