8MP AcuSense camera with Smart Hybrid Light

DS-2CD2383G2-LI2U is an 8MP turret camera with a fixed 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens, AcuSense, and both IR and white supplemental light.

This means the camera can deliver a high level of detail and adapt the lighting to the conditions, while event detection can focus on people and vehicles.

8MP delivers a high level of detail

The camera’s 1/2.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor provides a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels.

This gives you a detailed image, where smaller details are easier to see in both live view and recordings.

AcuSense focuses on people and vehicles

Hikvision AcuSense uses deep learning to classify people and vehicles. The camera can therefore distinguish these target types from other movement in the image.

This makes events more relevant and helps you focus on the recordings that typically matter most in surveillance.

Line crossing and intrusion detection

The camera supports line crossing and intrusion detection, with the option to trigger events specifically for people and vehicles.

For example, you can define a virtual line or an area in the camera image and detect when a person or vehicle crosses the line or moves into the area.

Smart Hybrid Light with IR and white light

Smart Hybrid Light means the camera has both infrared and white supplemental light. The datasheet lists four different lighting modes.

IR can be used for traditional black-and-white surveillance in the dark, while the white light can provide visible illumination. Smart Supplement Light helps control the selected lighting according to the conditions.

The range is up to 30 meters.

Built-in dual microphone

The 2U version has two built-in microphones in an array. They can record audio together with the video and are designed to provide a fuller sound recording than a single microphone.

The camera also supports background noise filtering.

120 dB WDR helps against backlight

120 dB true WDR helps preserve details when there are both very bright and very dark areas in the same image. This can be an advantage, for example, at entrances or windows with strong backlight.

The camera also supports BLC, HLC and 3D DNR for additional image processing in difficult lighting conditions.

Face Detection

The camera supports Face Detection, which can detect faces in the video image.

The function can be used with compatible Hikvision systems, where the detection can be included in the further handling of events and recordings.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm lens

The camera is available with a fixed 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens. The 2.8 mm version has a horizontal field of view of 108°, while the 4 mm version has a horizontal field of view of 88°.

2.8 mm gives you a wider overview, while 4 mm provides a narrower image section.

Record directly to a microSD card

The camera has a built-in card slot for microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards up to 512 GB. This makes local recording directly in the camera possible.

NAS and ANR are also supported. Together with compatible equipment, ANR can help transfer missing recordings after a temporary network interruption.

H.265+ reduces data usage

Hikvision H.265+ compresses video more efficiently and can therefore reduce the need for both storage space and network bandwidth during longer recordings.

The main stream supports H.265, H.264, H.264+, and H.265+.

IP67 for outdoor installation

The camera is IP67 rated against water and dust and can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors. The camera housing is made of metal.

The specified operating temperature range is from -30 °C to 60 °C. The datasheet also states that the model does not have special corrosion protection.

PoE or 12 V power supply

The camera can be powered by 12 V DC or via PoE. With PoE, both power and network data can run through the same network cable when the camera is connected to compatible PoE equipment.

Compatibility

The camera supports ONVIF Profile S and Profile G as well as Hikvision’s ISAPI, SDK and ISUP. It can be used with Hikvision iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect and Hik-Central.

When integrating with third-party equipment via ONVIF, available functions may depend on the specific recorder or software. Advanced Hikvision features may therefore require compatible Hikvision equipment.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

ANR

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.
