4 MP bullet camera with AI analytics and strong low-light performance

DS-2CD2T46G2-4I delivers images at up to 2688 × 1520 pixels and is designed to provide usable images even when there is very little light. The camera is specified down to 0.003 lux in color.

Good image quality in very low light

The camera’s light sensitivity and F1.4 aperture help maintain a usable color image when ambient light gets weak. Hikvision refers to the technology as Powered-by-DarkFighter.

When there is no longer enough light, the camera can use the built-in IR illumination and continue monitoring in black and white.

People and vehicle detection

The camera uses Hikvision AcuSense to classify people and vehicles. This makes it possible to focus alerts on these targets instead of simply reacting to any motion in the image.

People and vehicle classification can, among other things, be used together with line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting.

IR illumination up to 80 meters

This description applies specifically to the DS-2CD2T46G2-4I. The 4I version has built-in IR illumination with a range of up to 80 meters.

IR illumination makes it possible to continue monitoring in completely dark areas, where the camera switches to a black-and-white image.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm

DS-2CD2T46G2-4I is available with three different fixed lenses, so the field of view can be chosen based on the area to be monitored.

2.8 mm provides a horizontal viewing angle of about 103° and a wide overview. 4 mm provides about 83° and a more focused image.

Face Capture

The camera supports Face Capture, allowing it to detect faces in the camera image and take pictures of them.

Face Capture should not be confused with facial recognition. The datasheet does not state that the camera can identify specific people against a face database on its own.

Better image in backlight

The camera handles areas with both strong light and dark sections, making the image more balanced in places such as entrances, gates, and other areas with large differences in lighting.

It also supports BLC, HLC, and 3D DNR for additional image adjustment and enhancement.

Supports SD cards up to 256 GB

The camera supports SD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. It also supports network storage via NAS and Auto Network Replenishment (ANR).

H.265+ reduces storage usage

DS-2CD2T46G2-4I supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. H.265+ helps reduce the amount of video data and therefore the need for storage space and network bandwidth.

IP67 for outdoor installation

The camera is IP67-rated against water and dust and can therefore be used outdoors. The camera housing is made of metal except for the sunshield.

The camera is specified for operation at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.

PoE or 12 V DC

DS-2CD2T46G2-4I can be powered by either 12 V DC or PoE according to IEEE 802.3af. With PoE, power and network connection can run through the same network cable.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.

ANR

Avoid losing recordings with AutomaticNetwork R eplenishment.
If there are network problems, the camera stores the recordings on an SD- card - and then sends them to the recorder when the connection is stable again.
