With Uniview TIC2624S-F35-4F12AC-I3 you get an advanced thermal and optical surveillance camera that combines regular video images with temperature-based analysis. The camera can monitor people and vehicles, detect abnormal temperatures, and help with early detection of fire and smoke.

The camera is especially well suited for industry, warehouses, energy facilities, recycling centers, production environments, and other areas where regular video surveillance is not enough. The two camera channels use the same IP address and can be displayed together or as picture-in-picture.

Thermal and optical camera for fire and area security

The camera combines an optical 4 MP camera with a thermal camera in the same housing. The optical image gives you recognizable details from the area, while the thermal channel detects temperature differences that may not necessarily be visible to the naked eye.

This combination makes it possible both to visually document an incident and to detect temperature changes at an early stage. It gives you a stronger basis for decision-making than traditional surveillance cameras alone.

 

Thermal AI gives you more than temperature measurement

Thermal AI combines heat-based image analysis with artificial intelligence. The camera not only detects temperatures, but can also analyze people, vehicles, and events using both the thermal and optical cameras.

This means you get intelligent surveillance with features such as person and vehicle detection, fire and temperature alarms, line crossing, area detection, and heat development analysis. The combination reduces false alarms and provides more accurate events than traditional thermal cameras.

The optical channel is also used to visually confirm events, while the thermal channel continues monitoring temperatures and detecting heat, even in complete darkness or in difficult weather conditions.

 

Ideal for charging stations, battery storage, and parking facilities

Thermal AI cameras are especially well suited for monitoring EV chargers, battery storage facilities, parking garages, and underground car parks. Here, the camera can continuously monitor temperature development and detect abnormal heat before a critical situation develops.

If a charging station, battery, or electrical installation starts to become unusually hot, the camera can automatically send an alarm. At the same time, the optical camera unit records what is happening on site, so you get both temperature data and visual documentation in one complete solution.

The combination of thermal analysis, person and vehicle detection, and active light and sound alarms makes the camera an effective solution in areas where both fire safety and surveillance are a high priority.

 

Two camera images via one IP address

The thermal and optical channels are connected through the same network address. This simplifies installation and makes it easier to manage the camera in a compatible recorder or video platform.

You can view both images as separate video streams or use picture-in-picture, so the thermal image is shown together with the regular camera image. This makes it easier to match a heat source with the exact area or object.

 

Thermal detection without visible light

The thermal channel detects heat instead of regular light. The camera can therefore monitor areas in complete darkness, smoke, light fog, and other situations where a normal camera may struggle to provide a usable image.

The native thermal resolution is 400 × 300 pixels, and the camera uses image enhancement to deliver a thermal video stream in up to 1080p.

 

Early fire detection

The thermal channel can detect possible fires based on abnormal heat development. This means the camera can detect a temperature rise before flames or heavy smoke are necessarily visible in the regular video image.

Fire detection can be used to monitor, for example, waste, batteries, machines, electrical installations, storage areas, and production equipment, where an early alarm can be crucial.

 

Smoke detection and extra confirmation

The camera supports both thermal fire detection and optical smoke detection. The optical channel can therefore help confirm a possible fire alarm from the thermal channel.

The combination of heat and smoke analysis reduces the risk of a single factor being misinterpreted. At the same time, you get a visual view of the area when the alarm is triggered.

 

Temperature measurement from minus 20 to 150 degrees

The camera can measure temperatures from minus 20 °C to 150 °C. You can use this function to monitor machines, materials, electrical components, and other areas where abnormal heat or cold may indicate a fault.

The system supports alarms for abnormal temperatures and can automatically mark the area’s hottest and coldest point. This makes it easier to detect temperature changes before they develop into downtime, damage, or fire.

 

Temperature detection on small objects

The thermal channel can detect temperature changes on an object of around 10 × 10 cm at a distance of up to 30 meters. The actual distance depends, among other things, on the object’s temperature, the surroundings, and the installation.

This makes the camera well suited for targeted monitoring of components, machine parts, or other defined areas.

 

Long thermal range

The thermal optics are designed for monitoring over longer distances. The camera can detect people at up to approximately 350 meters and vehicles at up to approximately 1,050 meters.

For general thermal object detection, the manufacturer states even longer distances depending on the object size and the desired level of detail. The camera is therefore suitable for both perimeter monitoring and surveillance of larger open areas.

 

4 MP optical camera with high light sensitivity

The optical channel records in up to 4 MP at 30 frames per second. The light-sensitive image sensor delivers usable recordings in low light and complements the thermal channel with recognizable colors and details.

The camera’s optical lens has a relatively narrow field of view and is intended for targeted long-distance monitoring rather than a very wide overview.

 

IR illumination up to 100 meters

The built-in IR light makes it possible to record clear black-and-white images in the dark at distances of up to 100 meters. This gives you both a thermal image and an optical image, even when the area has no regular lighting.

The IR light can be controlled automatically or manually, so it can be adapted to the installation and surroundings.

 

Person and vehicle detection

Both camera channels support intelligent analysis of movement in defined areas. The camera can, among other things, detect line crossing, intrusion, and movement into or out of an area.

The analysis can filter out irrelevant movement and focus on people and vehicles. On the optical channel, the system can also classify non-motorized vehicles.

 

Active alarm with sound and flashing light

The camera has a built-in speaker as well as red and blue warning lights. When an event is detected, the camera can therefore not only send an alarm, but also warn people directly on site.

The active alarm can be used to prevent intrusion, alert employees to danger, or indicate that an area is under surveillance.

 

Built-in microphone and two-way communication

The built-in microphone can record sound from the area, while the speaker makes it possible to play warnings or talk through the camera.

The camera also has two separate audio inputs and one audio output. This makes it possible to connect external microphones, speakers, or other audio systems if the built-in solution is not sufficient.

 

Three alarm inputs and two alarm outputs

With three alarm inputs and two alarm outputs, the camera can be connected to external sensors, sirens, relays, and other security systems.

For example, you can let an external sensor trigger the camera’s recording or let a temperature alarm activate an external siren, ventilation, or other technical installation.

 

Local storage and security in the event of network failure

The camera has space for a microSD card of up to 512 GB. This makes it possible to store video and events locally, either as primary storage or as backup.

With ANR, recordings from the memory card can later be transferred to a compatible Uniview recorder if the network connection has been temporarily interrupted.

 

Five video streams for different purposes

The camera supports up to five video streams. This means different systems and users can receive video in different resolutions and qualities at the same time.

For example, you can use one stream for high-quality recording, another for remote viewing, and a third for integration with an external platform.

 

Efficient video compression

Ultra H.265 reduces the required storage space and network traffic compared with older compression formats. The camera also supports H.265, H.264, and MJPEG.

The efficient compression is especially important in a camera with both thermal and optical video, as both channels would otherwise generate large amounts of data.

 

Integration with recorders and security platforms

The camera supports ONVIF Profile S, G, and M, as well as SDK and API. It can therefore be integrated with compatible recorders, video management systems, and other security platforms.

ONVIF Profile M supports, among other things, the transfer of metadata and analytics events when the receiving platform also supports these functions.

 

PoE or 12 V power supply

The camera can be powered via PoE+ or 12 V DC. With PoE, power and network can run through the same cable, which simplifies installation and reduces the need for a local power supply.

The maximum power consumption is 22.4 W, so the PoE switch or recorder used must support IEEE 802.3at.

 

Designed for demanding outdoor environments

The camera is IP67-rated and can withstand rain, dust, and changing weather conditions. It can be used at temperatures from minus 40 °C to 70 °C.

The NEMA 4X corrosion protection makes the camera suitable for environments with extra exposure to moisture, salt, or corrosive conditions. This could be industrial sites, coastal areas, energy facilities, and recycling centers, for example.

 

Protection against voltage surges

The built-in protection against voltage surges of up to 6 kV contributes to a more stable installation in demanding environments.
