AXIS F2108 is the camera’s compact sensor unit and is used together with a compatible AXIS F-series main unit. Its small size makes it ideal when the camera needs to be mounted as discreetly as possible.

Discreet 4K sensor unit for the AXIS F series
AXIS F2108 Standard Sensor is designed for installations where the camera itself needs to take up very little space. The electronics and processing are housed in the separate main unit, while the small sensor unit is placed where the image should be captured.
This makes it especially suitable for integration in vending machines, self-service solutions, machines, and other places where a traditional camera would take up too much room.
4K with plenty of detail
The sensor supports up to 3840 x 2160 resolution, delivering a highly detailed image. This is especially useful when recordings need to be reviewed later, or when the image is used together with video analytics.
Wide 110° field of view
The fixed 3.07 mm lens provides a horizontal field of view of 110°. This gives you a wide overview from a very small sensor unit and makes it well suited for areas where the camera is mounted relatively close to what needs to be monitored.
The sensor also features lens distortion correction, so the wide field of view delivers a more natural-looking image.
Good image quality in challenging light conditions
AXIS F2108 is made to deliver a clear image, even when lighting conditions are not ideal.
When the sensor is used together with an AXIS F91 main unit, Forensic WDR is supported. This helps preserve detail in areas where there is both bright light and dark areas in the same image.
Small and discreet
The compact size makes it possible to place the sensor in locations where a regular surveillance camera would be difficult to mount discreetly.

Up to 30 meters from the main unit
The sensor connects to the separate main unit via a detachable cable. Depending on the cable selected, the sensor and main unit can be placed up to 30 meters apart.
This means that only the small sensor unit needs to be positioned at the actual surveillance area, while the main unit can be mounted in a more protected and practical location.
Compatible with AXIS F9114-R Mk II
AXIS F2108 can be used together with the AXIS F9114-R Mk II Main Unit. Since the main unit has four channels, the F2108 can be combined with up to three other compatible sensor units.
This makes it possible to monitor several different areas with sensors placed separately and connected to the same main unit.
Cable purchased separately
The sensor is connected to the main unit with a compatible AXIS F-series cable. Axis lists AXIS TU6004-E, TU6005 Plenum Cable, and TU6007-E as compatible cable options, among others.
The 8-meter AXIS TU6007-E cable, which we just wrote text for, can therefore be used with this sensor.
For indoor use
AXIS F2108 is intended for indoor installation and does not have an IP rating for unprotected outdoor mounting.
