8 MP Ajax turret camera with motorized zoom and Hybrid Light

TurretCam HLVF combines high 8 MP resolution with a motorized 2.8-12 mm lens, IR up to 60 meters, and white light up to 40 meters. This makes it possible to adjust both the camera angle and lighting to the area being monitored.

Motorized zoom from 2.8 to 12 mm

The motorized lens can be adjusted from 2.8 mm to 12 mm through the Ajax app. The camera has autofocus and the option for manual focus control, so the image can be adapted to the installation without physically adjusting the lens.

At 2.8 mm, you get the widest horizontal field of view at up to 111°, which is great for larger areas. At 12 mm, the field of view becomes narrower, down to around 31°, so the camera can instead focus on an area farther away.

8 MP resolution with up to 4K

The camera records at a resolution of up to 3840 × 2160 pixels. The high resolution provides more detail in the image and is an advantage when you want to zoom in on recordings and still keep a detailed picture.

IR up to 60 meters and white light up to 40 meters

The camera has both IR and white LED lighting. IR provides surveillance in the dark with a range of up to 60 meters, while the white light can illuminate the area up to 40 meters away.

The camera automatically adjusts the strength of both IR and the white light according to the distance to the objects. This helps prevent overexposed people and objects close to the camera.

AI detection of people, vehicles, and pets

The camera’s AI analysis can detect and distinguish between people, vehicles, and pets. This makes it easier to focus on relevant events instead of simply reacting to any movement in the image.

The camera also supports line crossing, so an event can be recorded when a relevant object crosses a defined line in the image.

120 dB True WDR

True WDR at 120 dB helps the camera preserve details in areas with strong differences between light and shadow. This can be useful at gates, entrances, or areas with strong sunlight.

Built-in microphone

The camera has a built-in microphone and can therefore record sound together with the video when audio recording is enabled.

In addition, it is possible to connect an external active microphone with a built-in preamplifier as well as an external speaker with at least 3 W and 4 Ω or higher.

Alarm input and alarm output

The camera has connections for external alarm equipment. The alarm input supports both NO and NC, while the alarm output can handle up to 24 V DC and 300 mA.

This makes it possible to integrate the camera with compatible external equipment and control functions through Ajax apps.

Supports SD cards

Ajax TurretCam HLVF supports microSD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera. The card must be class V30 or faster and is not included.

Can be used with Ajax NVR

In addition to local recording on a microSD card, the camera can be used with an Ajax NVR. This makes it possible to bring together recordings from multiple cameras in the same Ajax video surveillance system.

Video together with the Ajax alarm system

The camera can be part of scenarios together with the Ajax alarm system. For example, you can configure the system so the camera starts recording when an Ajax detector triggers an alarm.

The recorded event can then be sent to the Ajax mobile app or Ajax PRO Desktop, so you can quickly check what happened.

Access from mobile and computer

Through Ajax apps, you can view live video, recordings, and events, as well as adjust relevant camera settings. The owner can manage access rights to video and settings themselves.

PoE makes installation easier

The camera supports PoE according to IEEE 802.3af/at, so both power and network can run through the same Ethernet cable. Alternatively, the camera can be powered by 12 V DC.

Protected against tampering

An built-in accelerometer can detect attempts to move or remove the camera. The camera also includes Secure Boot, encrypted communication, and signature verification for firmware updates.

For indoor and outdoor use

The camera is IP67 rated against dust and water and IK10 rated against mechanical impact. It can operate at temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C and can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.
