The DS-2CD2383G2P-LISU/SL delivers panoramic images at a resolution of up to 4256 × 1888 pixels. The two image areas are combined into one wide video view, allowing the operator to monitor a large area in a single, unified image.

AcuSense detects people and vehicles

The camera’s AcuSense technology uses deep-learning-based analysis to distinguish people and vehicles from other types of movement.

This reduces false alarms caused by, for example, rain, leaves, shadows, and small animals. The result is more relevant notifications and less time spent reviewing unimportant events.

Smart Hybrid Light with IR and white light

The DS-2CD2383G2P-LISU/SL has both infrared illumination and visible white light with a range of up to 30 meters.

During regular night viewing, the camera can use infrared light so the area is monitored discreetly in black and white. When an event is detected, the white light can be activated so the camera can capture more visible details and colors.

Smart Supplement Light adjusts the brightness based on the distance to the subject, reducing the risk of overexposing people or objects close to the camera.

White flashing light for detected events

The SL version is equipped with a white flashing light. The light can be activated as part of the camera’s event functions, for example when a line is crossed or intrusion is detected in a defined area.

The visible flash makes people in the area aware that an event has been detected. The function can be combined with an audio warning from the camera’s built-in speaker.

Two-way communication with microphone and speaker

The camera has both a built-in microphone and a built-in speaker. This makes it possible to hear sound from the area and communicate directly through the camera via a compatible surveillance system or Hik-Connect.

The camera’s speaker can be used to play audio warnings when a relevant event is detected.

120 dB WDR delivers better images in backlight

With 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range, the camera can capture more detail in areas with strong differences between light and shadow.

This is useful, for example, at entrances, gates, roads, and parking areas where sunlight, headlights, or strong lamps might otherwise make parts of the image too dark or too bright.

Intelligent perimeter monitoring

The camera supports intelligent functions such as line crossing and intrusion detection.

These functions can be set to trigger an alarm only when people or vehicles are detected. The camera can then start recording, capture a snapshot, send an email, notify the monitoring center, or activate light and sound.

Local recording on microSD card

The built-in card slot supports microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB.

H.265+ compression reduces the need for storage space and network bandwidth compared with older compression formats.
