Heat detector for fires where smoke may not appear first
FireProtect 2 AC (Heat) Jeweller uses two thermistors to monitor the temperature in the room. This makes it well suited for places where a fire can generate intense heat before visible smoke forms.
That can, for example, be kitchens, workshops, or other rooms where a traditional smoke detector is not always the most suitable solution.
Detects both high temperature and rapid temperature rise
The detector triggers an alarm if the temperature exceeds 64 °C.
It also reacts if the temperature rises by more than 10 °C within one minute. This means it can detect a fire developing quickly, even before the temperature reaches the fixed alarm threshold.
Built-in 85 dB siren
FireProtect 2 AC has a built-in 85 dB siren measured at a distance of 3 meters.
When the detector identifies a fire hazard, it emits a clear alarm so people in the building are alerted to the incident.
Interconnected fire alarms
If several FireProtect 2 AC detectors are installed in the same Ajax system, they can activate each other’s sirens.
Under normal connection, the alarm is first sent to the Ajax hub, which then activates the other fire detectors within 20 seconds.
If the connection to the hub is lost, the detectors can also communicate directly with each other and activate the other sirens.
230V with backup battery
The detector connects to 110 to 240V power and is therefore intended for fixed installation.
It also has a built-in backup battery that keeps the detector running if the power is cut.
Can be used without an Ajax hub
FireProtect 2 AC can function as a standalone heat detector without being connected to an Ajax hub.
If you connect it to an Ajax system, you also get extra features such as phone notifications, event logs, remote control, and the option to use the detector together with other Ajax devices.
Access from mobile and computer
When the detector is connected to an Ajax hub, you can track status and events via the Ajax app or Ajax software on your computer.
For example, you can see which detector responded, the time of the event, and any faults or operating issues.
Wireless Jeweller connection
Communication with the Ajax hub takes place via Jeweller, which is Ajax's wireless communication technology.
The range is up to 1,700 meters in open space, and the communication is encrypted and monitored so the system can detect loss of connection or attempts at interference.
Easy installation
The SmartBracket mounting plate has built-in WAGO 221 connectors, so the power cables can be connected directly in the bracket.
The detector can then be mounted and adjusted without having to disconnect the wires again.
