4 MP ColorVu dome camera with motorized PTRZ

The camera is equipped with a 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and delivers a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520. At 50 Hz, the camera can deliver up to 25 frames per second at full resolution.

The large sensor is combined with a bright F1.2 lens and ColorVu technology, allowing the camera to deliver color images in very low light conditions.

Motorized Pan, Tilt, Rotate and Zoom

The PTRZ function makes it possible to remotely adjust the camera’s Pan, Tilt, Rotate, and Zoom. This means you can fine-tune the camera’s direction and field of view without having to manually adjust the camera module after installation.

Pan can be adjusted from 0° to 350°, tilt from 0° to 85°, and rotation from 0° to 350°. Remote adjustment is specified for a maximum of 1,000 adjustment cycles.

Motorized 2.8-12 mm varifocal lens

The motorized 2.8-12 mm varifocal lens lets you adapt the field of view to the area you want to monitor. The horizontal field of view can be adjusted from 114.6° at wide angle to 41.8° at telephoto.

At wide angle, the DORI detection distance is 61.5 meters and the identification distance is 6.2 meters. At telephoto, the detection distance increases to 151.7 meters and the identification distance to 15.2 meters.

ColorVu for color images in very low light

ColorVu technology combined with the bright F1.2 lens provides a minimum illumination of just 0.0005 lux with AGC enabled. This helps the camera preserve colors and details even in very low light conditions.

At 0 lux, the camera’s built-in supplemental illumination can be used.

Smart Hybrid Light with IR and white light

The camera includes both 850 nm IR light and white light, as well as Smart Hybrid Light. This makes it possible to adapt the lighting to the monitoring situation and switch between the different light types.

The supplemental light has a range of up to 40 meters.

HikAI-ISP and 130 dB True WDR

HikAI-ISP helps provide effective noise reduction and improved image quality. The camera also features 130 dB True WDR, which helps preserve detail in areas with strong differences between bright and dark parts.

The camera also supports BLC, HLC, and 3D DNR for further image enhancement.

Intelligent detection of people and vehicles

The camera’s deep learning technology can classify people and vehicles. This makes it possible to target alarms for specific object types and thereby make event detection more relevant.

Perimeter protection includes:

• Intrusion detection
• Area entry detection
• Area exit detection

All functions support alarm triggering based on specified target types such as people and vehicles.

Face Capture and smart events

The camera supports Face Capture and can therefore detect and capture faces as part of intelligent video analysis.

It also supports scene change detection, motion detection, tamper alarm, and system-related exceptions.

Audio and alarm connections

The camera has one line-in and one line-out for external audio equipment. It supports formats including G.711, G.722.1, G.726, MP2L2, PCM, MP3, and AAC-LC, as well as environmental noise filtering.

In addition, there is one alarm input and one alarm output. In the event of an incident, the camera can, among other things, start recording, take snapshots, activate the alarm output, issue an audible warning, send an email, or notify the monitoring center.

Local storage of up to 512 GB

The built-in card slot supports microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB. This allows recordings to be stored locally directly in the camera.

The camera also supports network storage via NAS with NFS and SMB/CIFS.

Efficient H.265+ video compression

The main stream supports H.265, H.265+, H.264, and H.264+, enabling efficient video compression and reducing storage and network bandwidth needs.

The camera supports main stream, sub-stream, and, under certain settings, a third video stream.

Robust design with IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X

The camera is made of metal and has both IP67 and IK10 ratings. This provides protection against dust and water, as well as high resistance to mechanical impact and vandalism.

The NEMA 4X corrosion protection is classified by Hikvision as "Moderate Protection." The camera is therefore intended for areas with moderate corrosion protection requirements, including coastal areas around 2 km from the shoreline and areas affected by acid rain.

The camera can be used at temperatures from -30 °C to 60 °C and humidity levels of up to 95% without condensation.

Compatibility and mounting

The camera supports ONVIF Profile S, G, and T as well as ISAPI, SDK, and ISUP. It can be used together with Hikvision’s iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect, and Hik-Central.

The network connection is via 10/100 Mbit RJ45, and power can be supplied either with 12 V DC or PoE via IEEE 802.3at Class 4.

For mounting, it supports among others DS-1476ZJ-SUS for corner mounting, DS-1471ZJ-155-Y for pendant mounting, DS-1250ZJ and DS-1473ZJ-155-Y for wall mounting, DS-1475ZJ-SUS for vertical pole mounting, and DS-4220ZJ-WC for ceiling recessed installation.
