Dahua SDT4E425-8P-GB-APV1 8+4MP panoramic camera with 180°, smart tracking, light and sound
Dahua panoramic camera and PTZ camera in one solution with 180° overview, 25x zoom, and smart tracking
- You get both a wide 180° overview and a separate zoom camera in the same unit.
- The wide camera keeps an eye on the whole area, while the PTZ camera can zoom in on details and follow movements.
- Smart tracking makes it possible to automatically follow people and vehicles.
- Smart Dual Light provides both IR light and white light, depending on what is happening in the area.
- Light and siren can be used as a response if the camera detects an event.
- AcuPick makes it easier to quickly find people and vehicles in recordings.
The camera can be controlled from your mobile via the Dahua DMSS app, where you can view live video, zoom, control the PTZ unit, and play back recordings. It is especially well suited for places where you want both an overview and the ability to get close to what is happening.

Panoramic camera with zoom camera for large areas
DH-SDT4E425-8P-GB-APV1 is made for monitoring larger areas where one regular camera is often not enough. Here you get a wide panoramic image that shows the entire area, while the separate PTZ part can pan, zoom, and follow movements.
This makes the camera suitable for example for parking areas, squares, industrial areas, loading bays, access roads, and other places where you want both a fixed overview and the option to see details up close.
Panoramic image with 180° overview
The camera’s overview channel is designed to give you a very wide view of the area. With a 180° viewing angle, you can see a large area in one combined image, so you do not need several fixed cameras to get an overview.
This is a major advantage in places where a lot is happening across a wide area. You get a calm and easy-to-read image that makes it easier to see where something is happening.
Detail camera with 25x optical zoom
In addition to the panoramic part, the camera has a separate PTZ unit with 25x optical zoom. This means you can zoom far in on people, vehicles, or events without losing the sharpness you would otherwise lose with pure digital zoom.
The wide image gives you the overview, while the zoom part makes it possible to look closer at what matters. That is exactly what makes this type of camera so interesting in larger installations.
PTZ control
PTZ stands for pan, tilt, and zoom. That means the detail camera can pan, tilt, and zoom so you can change the viewing angle directly from your mobile, computer, or recorder.
You can also save preset positions and let the camera move between them. This makes it easier to keep an eye on several important areas with one and the same camera.
Smart tracking
One of the most exciting features of this model is smart tracking. Here, the panoramic part and the zoom part work together. The wide camera detects movement in the area, and the detail camera can then begin following the person or vehicle.
That means you keep the overview while also getting a closer view of what is happening. So you do not have to rely only on a fixed wide shot if something moves through the area.
Starlight night image
Starlight makes the camera more light-sensitive, so you get a clear image in low light. It is especially useful in areas with some lighting, but not enough for a regular camera to deliver a good result.
In practice, this means you can see more details late in the day, in the evening, and in dark areas with limited lighting.
Smart Dual Light
Smart Dual Light means the camera uses both IR light and white light in an intelligent way. During calm periods, the camera can use IR light so the surveillance is more discreet. When a relevant event occurs, the white light can switch on and provide a color image of the situation.
This gives you a good balance between discreet surveillance and clear recordings when it really matters.
IR night light and white light
The camera has both infrared light and white light. The panoramic part has up to 30 meters of IR and 30 meters of white light, while the detail camera has up to 100 meters of IR and up to 50 meters of white light.
This means you can get a wide night image closer to the camera while also using the zoom part to see farther into the area.
Human and vehicle detection
The camera can distinguish between people and vehicles, so you get more relevant events and fewer unnecessary alarms. This is a big advantage outdoors, where ordinary motion detection often reacts to things you are not interested in.
It makes it easier for you to focus on what actually matters instead of spending time on irrelevant events.
Perimeter protection
The camera supports rules such as line crossing, intrusion, loitering, motion near a fence, fast movement, and crowd gathering. This makes it possible to adapt the surveillance to the area you want to monitor more closely.
If someone enters an area where they should not be, the camera can react and at the same time record the event more precisely.
SMD 4.0, smart motion detection
SMD 4.0 is Dahua’s smart motion detection. The function helps filter out irrelevant movement and focus on people and vehicles.
That means you get more useful surveillance and a more manageable event list, especially in outdoor areas with a lot of movement.
AcuPick
AcuPick makes it much easier to find relevant events in recordings. Instead of having to go through large amounts of video yourself, the system helps find people and vehicles faster.
When the camera is used together with a compatible Dahua recorder, you can search more precisely in both live view and recordings. It saves time and makes it much easier to find the event you are looking for.
Light and siren
The camera has a built-in option to respond with red and blue light as well as sound. It can be used as a clear reaction if someone moves into an area you are keeping a close eye on.
You can choose between several sounds and also import your own audio files. This makes the feature useful in places where you want to make it clear that the area is under surveillance, or where you want to draw attention to an event.
Image stabilization and defog
The detail camera has electronic image stabilization, which helps reduce shakes in the image. This is especially useful on zoom cameras, where small movements can otherwise become very noticeable.
Defog can improve visibility in fog or haze, giving you a more usable image in challenging weather conditions.
SD card recording
The camera supports microSD cards up to 512 GB. This makes it possible to store recordings directly in the camera, either as primary storage in smaller setups or as a backup.
This can be an advantage if you want extra security so recordings are still saved even if the connection to the recorder is interrupted for a period.
PoE and power connection
The camera can be powered via PoE or 12V DC. With PoE, you can get both power and network through the same cable, which makes installation easier.
This is an advantage when the camera needs to be mounted in a place where you want to keep cabling to a minimum.
Accessories
The camera can be mounted with several different brackets depending on where it needs to be installed. These include wall brackets, ceiling brackets, corner brackets, pole brackets, and brackets for mounting on a parapet or flat surface.
You can always check the “accessories” tab on the camera to find the brackets and mounting parts that fit this exact model.
