Ajax GlassProtect is a wireless glassbreak detector designed to detect the sound of breaking glass in homes, shops, offices and businesses. The detector uses an advanced microphone and intelligent sound analysis to distinguish real glassbreaks from normal background noise.

Ajax GlassProtect
GlassProtect monitors glass panes, windows and doors with glass where there's a risk of burglary by smashing the pane. The detector registers both impacts on the glass and the characteristic sound of breaking glass.
Intelligent glassbreak detection
GlassProtect uses Ajax DualTone technology, which analyses both low and high sound frequencies. That means the detector only reacts when it detects both an impact on the pane and the actual sound of breaking glass.
This reduces the risk of false alarms from, for example, dog barking, traffic, music or other loud ambient noises.
Covers large glass areas
The detector can detect glassbreaks up to 9 meters away and monitors an area with a 180° detection angle. That makes it suitable for homes, shops and offices with large windows.
Adjustable sensitivity
Sensitivity can be adjusted during installation directly in the Ajax app. You can choose between three levels depending on the room size, acoustics and placement.
Supports external sensor
GlassProtect has an input for an external wired NC sensor. This allows you to connect, for example, a magnetic contact, vibration sensor or another third‑party sensor to the same unit.
That makes installation more flexible and can be an advantage when upgrading existing alarm systems.
Long battery life
The detector is powered by a CR123A battery with a battery life of up to 7 years under normal use. The system notifies you well before the battery needs replacing.
Stable wireless communication
GlassProtect communicates via Ajax Jeweller technology with encrypted two‑way communication. The system constantly monitors the connection between the hub and the detector and detects attempts at tampering or signal interference.
Tamper protection
A built‑in tamper switch detects if the unit is removed from the wall or if someone tries to open it. Users and any monitoring station are immediately notified of tampering.
Easy installation
GlassProtect is quickly mounted using the Ajax SmartBracket without disassembling the device. Connection to the alarm system is done by scanning the QR code in the Ajax app.
