8 MP Ajax dome camera 

DomeCam Mini delivers images with a resolution of up to 3840 × 2160 pixels and can also work together with the Ajax alarm system. The camera can record directly to a microSD card and can also be used together with an Ajax NVR.

Choose between a 2.8 mm and 4 mm lens

Ajax DomeCam Mini is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens. Both versions have the same 8 MP resolution, but the difference in lenses determines how wide the camera sees.

2.8 mm provides a wide horizontal viewing angle of 100-110°. It’s ideal for areas where you want to capture as much as possible in the image, such as a terrace, entrance, yard, or a larger room.

4 mm provides a narrower horizontal viewing angle of 75-85°. The image becomes more focused straight ahead, which is a great fit for driveways, gates, and passages where you want to see further ahead.

How far can the camera see?

With the 2.8 mm lens, the DORI detection distance is up to 90 meters. Observation is listed at 36 meters, recognition at 18 meters, and identification at 9 meters.

With the 4 mm lens, the DORI detection distance increases to 117.5 meters. Observation is listed at 47 meters, recognition at 23.5 meters, and identification at 11.6 meters.

DORI refers to standardized distances that describe how much detail the camera can provide at different ranges. It should therefore not be confused with the camera’s IR range, which is up to 15 meters.

AI detection of people, vehicles, and pets

The camera’s built-in AI can tell the difference between people, vehicles, and pets. This makes it possible to focus on relevant events instead of only reacting to general movement in the image.

For example, you can use it to detect when a person enters the area or a vehicle drives into the driveway.

Smart IR up to 15 meters

DomeCam Mini has built-in IR illumination with a range of up to 15 meters, so the camera can also monitor the area in the dark.

Smart IR automatically adjusts the strength of the IR light. This helps prevent people and objects close to the camera from becoming overexposed and difficult to see.

120 dB True WDR

True WDR helps create a more usable image when there are both very bright and dark areas in the same scene. This can, for example, be useful at an entrance with strong daylight outside and a darker area inside.

Built-in microphone

The camera has a built-in microphone, so it can record audio together with the video image when audio recording is enabled.

Supports SD cards

Ajax DomeCam Mini supports microSD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera without a separate recorder.

Ajax recommends a class V30 microSD card or faster. Memory card not included.

Can be used with Ajax NVR

If you want longer recording time or multiple cameras combined in the same system, DomeCam Mini can be used with an Ajax NVR.

This makes it possible to bring cameras and recordings together in the same Ajax solution.

Video together with the Ajax alarm system

DomeCam Mini can work with the Ajax alarm system. For example, you can create a scenario where the camera starts recording when an Ajax detector triggers an alarm.

The recording can then be used to quickly see what is happening in the area in connection with the alarm.

Access from mobile and computer

You can access the camera through the Ajax system from both mobile and computer. Here, you can view live video, events, and recordings depending on the setup and your access rights.

PoE makes installation easier

DomeCam Mini supports PoE, so both network and power can run through the same network cable. That means you don’t need a separate power supply at the camera if it’s connected to a compatible PoE switch or NVR.

The camera can also be powered by 12 V DC.

For indoor and outdoor use

The camera is IP66 rated and can be mounted both indoors and outdoors. It also has IK08 protection against mechanical impact and can operate at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.

Power over Ethernet
