5 MP Ajax turret camera

TurretCam delivers images with a resolution of up to 2880 × 1620 pixels and can also work together with the Ajax alarm system. The camera can record directly to a microSD card and can also be used with an Ajax NVR.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm lens

Ajax TurretCam is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens. Both versions offer the same 5 MP resolution, but the lens determines how wide the camera sees.

2.8 mm gives a wide horizontal viewing angle of 100-110°. It is ideal when you want to capture a large area in the image, for example a terrace, entrance, courtyard or the area in front of a building.

4 mm gives a narrower horizontal viewing angle of 75-85°. The image is more focused forward, making this version well suited for driveways, gates and passageways, for example.

How far can the camera see?

With the 2.8 mm lens, the DORI detection distance is up to 65 meters. Observation is listed at 26 meters, recognition at 13 meters and identification at 6.5 meters.

With the 4 mm lens, the DORI detection distance increases to 86 meters. Observation is listed at 34.4 meters, recognition at 17.2 meters and identification at 8.6 meters.

DORI refers to standardized distances that describe how much detail the camera can provide at different ranges. It should therefore not be confused with the camera’s IR range, which is up to 50 meters.

AI detection of people, vehicles and pets

The camera’s built-in AI can distinguish between people, vehicles and pets. This makes it possible to focus on relevant events instead of reacting only to general movement in the image.

For example, you can use it to detect when a person enters the area or a vehicle drives into the driveway.

Smart IR up to 50 meters

TurretCam has built-in IR illumination with a range of up to 50 meters, so the camera can also monitor the area in the dark.

Smart IR automatically adjusts the strength of the IR light according to the conditions. This helps prevent people and objects close to the camera from being overexposed.

120 dB True WDR

True WDR helps create a more usable image when there are both very bright and dark areas in the same scene. This can be useful, for example, at an entrance with strong daylight outside and a darker area inside.

Built-in microphone

The camera has a built-in microphone and can therefore record audio together with the video image when audio recording is enabled.

Supports SD card

Ajax TurretCam supports microSD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera without a separate recorder.

Ajax recommends a V30 class microSD card or faster. Memory card not included.

Can be used with Ajax NVR

If you want longer recording times or multiple cameras in the same system, TurretCam can be used with an Ajax NVR.

This makes it possible to combine multiple cameras and recordings in the same Ajax solution.

Video together with the Ajax alarm system

TurretCam can work together with the Ajax alarm system. For example, you can create a scenario where the camera starts recording when an Ajax detector triggers an alarm.

The recording can then be used to quickly see what is happening in the area in connection with the alarm.

Access from mobile and computer

You can access the camera through the Ajax system from both mobile and computer. Here you can view live video, events and recordings depending on the setup and your access rights.

PoE makes installation easier

TurretCam supports PoE, so both network and power can run through the same network cable. You therefore do not need a separate power supply at the camera if it is connected to a compatible PoE switch or NVR.

The camera can also be powered with 12 V DC.

For indoor and outdoor use

The camera is IP66 rated and can be mounted both indoors and outdoors. It also has IK08 protection against mechanical impact and can operate at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.
