5 MP Ajax dome camera

DomeCam Mini combines video surveillance with the Ajax alarm system and delivers images with a resolution of up to 2880 × 1620 pixels. The camera can record directly to a microSD card and can also be used together with an Ajax NVR.

Choose between 2.8 mm and 4 mm lenses

Ajax DomeCam Mini is available with either a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens. Both versions have the same 5 MP resolution, but the lenses provide different viewing angles.

2.8 mm offers a wide horizontal viewing angle of 100-110°. It is ideal when the camera needs to cover a larger area, such as a room, patio, entrance, or the area in front of a building.

4 mm offers a narrower horizontal viewing angle of 75-85°. This creates a more forward-focused image, which is well suited for, for example, a driveway, passageway, or other areas where you want to see farther ahead.

How far can the camera see?

With the 2.8 mm lens, the DORI detection distance is up to 65 meters. Observation is specified at 26 meters, recognition at 13 meters, and identification at 6.5 meters.

With the 4 mm lens, the DORI detection distance increases to 86 meters. Observation is specified at 34.4 meters, recognition at 17.2 meters, and identification at 8.6 meters.

DORI refers to standardized distances used to describe how much detail the camera can provide at different ranges. It is therefore not the same as the camera’s IR range.

AI detection of people, vehicles and pets

The camera’s built-in AI can distinguish between people, vehicles and pets. This makes it possible to focus on relevant events instead of only reacting to ordinary motion in the image.

You can, for example, use it to detect when a person enters the area or a vehicle drives into the driveway.

Smart IR up to 15 meters

DomeCam Mini has built-in IR illumination with a range of up to 15 meters, so the camera can also monitor the area in the dark.

Smart IR automatically adjusts the IR light intensity based on the conditions. This helps prevent people and objects close to the camera from being overexposed.

120 dB True WDR

True WDR helps create a better image when there are both very bright and dark areas in the same scene. This can be useful, for example, at an entrance with strong daylight outside and a darker area inside.

Built-in microphone

The camera has a built-in microphone and can therefore record sound together with the video when audio recording is enabled.

Supports SD cards

Ajax DomeCam Mini supports microSD cards up to 256 GB, so recordings can be stored directly in the camera without a separate recorder.

Ajax recommends a class V30 microSD card or faster. Memory card not included.

Can be used with Ajax NVR

If you want longer recording time or multiple cameras in the same system, DomeCam Mini can be used together with an Ajax NVR.

This makes it possible to bring cameras and recordings together in the same Ajax solution.

Video together with the Ajax alarm system

DomeCam Mini can work together with the Ajax alarm system. For example, you can create a scenario where the camera starts recording when an Ajax detector triggers an alarm.

The recording can then be used to quickly check what is happening in the area in connection with the alarm.

Access from mobile and computer

You can access the camera through the Ajax system from both mobile and computer. Here, you can view live video, events, and recordings depending on the setup and your access rights.

PoE makes installation easier

DomeCam Mini supports PoE, so both network and power can run through the same network cable. That means you do not need a separate power supply at the camera if it is connected to a compatible PoE switch or NVR.

The camera can also be powered by 12 V DC.

For indoor and outdoor use

The camera is IP66-rated and can be mounted both indoors and outdoors. It also has IK08 protection against mechanical impact and can operate at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.

Power over Ethernet

Do like the professionals. POE means that only one cable is needed for the camera. The camera gets power through the network cable, typically from a recorder with built-in PoE, or from a POE switch.
